Fish Church

The Fischkirche is an indoor fish market in Gothenburg, Sweden, which takes its name from the resemblance of the building to a neo-Gothic church. It was opened on November 1, 1874 and designed by the city architect Victor von Gegerfelt. The Fish Church is an institution in Gothenburg as well as a tourist magnet where one of the city’s oldest trades, fishing, is located. In addition to a fish market, there is also a fish and fish restaurant in the building.
