The Hofburg in Brixen was the seat of the prince-bishops until 1803 and the bishops of the diocese of Brixen until 1973. Since then, the Hofburg has been open to the public and is the seat of the Diocesan Museum, the Nativity Museum and the Diocesan Archive. The historically and art historically significant building is located at Hofburgplatz 2.
