Executioner tower and water tower

The executioner tower is a wall tower in the west of the penultimate Nuremberg city fortification. The tower stands on the western tip of the flea market island in Pegnitz and is connected to the larger water tower on the north bank of the river by a double-arched sandstone bridge with half-timbering and gable roof. The executioner’s footbridge leads from the executioner’s tower to the south bank.
