Old town hall

The Old Town Hall in Leipzig - dominating the east side of the fair city’s market - is one of the most important German secular buildings of the Renaissance. The Naschmarkt is on its back. The mayor and city administration have been housed in the New Town Hall since 1905. The asymmetrical structure of the building from the front and rear, which divides it approximately in the golden section, is remarkable.
