The Cologne City Museum is a museum of the city of Cologne. His collection focuses on the history of Cologne. It has around 300,000 objects, of which around 5000 are exhibited on average. Between 600 and 1000 more are added every year. According to his former director Werner Schäfke, the museum is not the most important museum in Cologne, but the most important one for Cologne.
