The Graz City Hall houses the official residence of the Graz Mayor, the municipal council and parts of the city administration. The first town hall of Graz was built in Judengasse in 1450. This building, called the Old Chancellery, soon became too small, and so a new Renaissance town hall was built in 1550 at its current location on the main square.
